Meet Philippe Zanolino

Philippe Zanolino (born 1960, Périgueux, France) is a self-taught artist who moved to Curaçao in 1986. Since then, the island has become both his home and his endless source of inspiration. His paintings are charged with spirituality and symbols such as the dog, the bird, and the white dot—guiding viewers toward reflection and inner wisdom. His art encourages us to look beyond what is visible and discover deeper meaning.

Philippe is the father of artist Giovani Zanolino. Where Philippe’s art is rooted in symbolism and spirituality, Giovani brings a contemporary and experimental voice. Together, they embody the artistic dialogue between two generations within Curaçao’s thriving contemporary art scene.
